MCF Spooky Sprint 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Walk
October 4th, 2025, 5K start time 9:30am and 1-Mile Walk start time 9:40am
Race day pickup begins at 8:15
Get ready for an enjoyable day of fitness and festivities at the Spooky Sprint 5K & non-timed 1-Mile Family Fun Walk! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a scenic stroll with the family on the tree-lined Collegial Woods jogging trail, this Halloween-themed event has something for everyone.
Dress in your favorite costume and race (or walk!) through our spooktacular course lined with creepy decorations, spirited volunteers, and plenty of surprises along the way. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome for the 1-Mile Walk — the more, the scarier!

Family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Walk. Kids 10 and under are free with a paid registered adult
Costume contest with prizes
Trick-or-treat stations on the walk route
Post-race festivities include a bounce house, face painting, swimming, and games at our annual fall fest.
LCF Halloween at the Y!
Join us for a spooktacular Halloween at the Y Saturday, October 25 from 12:30–3:45 pm. Open to the entire community! Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, games, crafts, and more. Come dressed in your favorite costume and get ready for some frightfully fun activities. Admission is just one bag of individually wrapped candy. No registration required, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
LCF Pumpkin Canvas Painting!
The Licking County YMCA will host a canvas painting party featuring a Halloween Pumpkin Design! Our instructor Amber will provide step-by-step guidance so every child can leave with a masterpiece! All supplies are provided and no experience is needed, just bring your creativity! Painting takes place October 1st at 6:15pm located at Flory Park (650 W Church St. Newark, OH). Register here!
