West Licking Facility Expansion: Phase 2

About the Project-

Western Licking County has limited access to indoor recreation space leaving many residents without year-round opportunities to stay active and connected. With your support, we will build an 8,200-square-foot indoor sports facility within our West Licking YMCA Branch and expand adult wellness space by 40% (approximately 3,000-square-feet) in order to meet this growing demand and create more opportunities for health, well-being, and meaningful connection.

"As both a YMCA board member and a community member, I see firsthand the need for expanded space — especially for our growing youth sports programs and adult wellness offerings ...

Without a gymnasium, our current facility simply can’t meet the demand. This campaign is our chance to build for the future — to ensure that every child has a place to play and every adult has a place to move, connect, and stay well. It’s an investment in lifelong health, in safe spaces, and in a YMCA that truly meets our community where we are and where we’re going."

"The YMCA was a big part of my life growing up. I learned basketball there as a kid, spent hours in the gym through my high school years, and learned lessons that went far beyond the scoreboard. The Y isn't just a place you pass through at one stage of life: it's a place that stays with you, shaping who you become and how you give back."
-Matt Miller, President of Park National Corporation

Campaign Goal-

Our goal is to raise $4 million to expand what’s possible for our community.
  • $3 million will bring a new 8,200-square-foot indoor sports complex to life
  • $1 million will expand our health and wellness program spaces by 40%
So far, we’ve raised $2.4 million. Your support will help us cross the finish line and engage 1,500+ youth in sports, serve 1,000+ additional families, and support more than 1,100 adults in their health and wellness goals.

Our YMCA sits on more than 17 acres. It is a space full of possibilities and the new gymnasium is just the beginning of our vision for this site. The image above offers a glimpse of what the future could look like: a fully realized masterplan that brings every corner of our property to life.

Support Our Campaign-

The YMCA is seeking public and private donations for this $4 million investment in the community. Progress announcements will be made periodically this year.
