FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Everyone is Welcome The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes no one should be denied membership based on their ability to pay. Through our Annual Giving Campaign, the Buckeye Valley Family YMCA provides membership assistance to youth, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances.
The Essence of the Y
The Buckeye Valley Family YMCA is a non-profit association offering opportunities for personal growth and service to others. We are dedicated to serving the community. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We believe in providing programs and membership to anyone who desires participation.
Through the YMCA’s financial assistance program, help is available for those in need. To support our assisted members, we ask people to complete a private, confidential application for financial assistance.
HOW TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
To apply for a Membership for All membership, stop by the Member Services desk of your closest BVFYMCA branch. Our membership team will ask you a couple of questions to complete our assistance check. In the event our digital processes have an issue, you may fill out a paper form for our team to manually review. Our staff may ask you questions regarding income and family size so that we can provide scholarships in a fair and consistent manner.
What to Bring with You
We have a new streamlined process, where answering a few questions should complete your application. But just in case, you should bring one of these documents to apply for a Membership For All membership:
- 1040 Federal Tax Form(s) for all incomes in household.
- Documents showing most recent 30 days of income.
All subsidy applications and personal documents are kept confidential.
