Updated 5/14/2020: All branches of the Buckeye Valley Family YMCA will reopen on May 26th in accordance with the Governor's guidance. Our reopening plans will be released as soon as they are finalized. We look forward to welcoming you back!
Updated 4/27/2020: All branches of the Buckeye Valley Family YMCA remain closed per the State of Ohio’s existing Stay at Home Orders. We continue to thoughtfully plan new policies and procedures designed to protect the health of our staff, members and community for our future reopening at a date to be determined.
At this time, the status of summer programming, including pools, camps and organized team sports, is not yet known. We will continue to closely follow the orders and guidelines of public and health officials.
We will communicate our newest policies and procedures designed to ensure the health of our members and community as soon as they are finalized.
Y Healthy Kids Network Backpack Program
The moment Governor DeWine ordered all schools closed, we contacted our 20 partner schools throughout Licking County to assess their current food inventory. In partnership with the Food Pantry Network of Licking County and our dedicated Healthy Kids Network volunteers, we have ensured our partner schools have enough food on-hand to continue to provide weekend meals to students in need during the three-week school closure period. We'll remain in touch with our schools for as long as necessary to keep them stocked with the food they need to continue to provide weekend nutrition to their students.
