Preserving Our Y for Future Generations

For generations, people in our community have helped make the Y a place where children, families and neighbors can learn, grow and belong.

The Heritage Club recognizes those who choose to help carry that work forward through a planned or legacy gift to the YMCA Foundation. These gifts help strengthen the long-term future of our Y and its ability to serve changing community needs for generations to come.

How Does Planned Giving Work?

A planned gift allows you to include the YMCA in your long-term financial or estate plans. There are several ways to make a planned gift, and the option that's right for you will depend on your individual circumstances.

Include the YMCA in your will or estate plan by leaving a specific amount or percentage of your estate.

Name the YMCA as a beneficiary of an IRA, pension or other eligible account.

Name the YMCA as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy or donate a fully paid policy.

Make a gift of cash or securities to the YMCA Endowment Fund.

Transfer cash or securities to the YMCA Endowment in exchange for specified payments during your lifetime, with the remaining gift benefiting the Y.

Other options may include charitable remainder or lead trusts and gifts of real estate.

Why the Heritage Club Matters

The YMCA has served our community for generations. Heritage Club members help ensure that legacy continues by supporting the Y's long-term ability to respond to changing community needs.

Their commitments help preserve a strong YMCA for the children, families and neighbors who will depend on it in the years ahead.

What Does Heritage Club Membership Include?
